The installation guide
A new wall. Six simple steps.
Start at the top and work your way down. A little preparation makes a clean, aligned finish easier.
Step 1 Installation
Prepare the wall
Start with a smooth, clean, dry wall. Wipe away dust and allow the surface to dry fully. Remove loose material before you begin.
A clean, dry surface gives the adhesive an even starting point.
The wall feels dusty or uneven
Pause before applying. Clean again and let the wall dry. Flaking paint, loose wallpaper and pronounced texture need preparation; start with the surface guide if you are unsure.
Step 2 Installation
Measure & align
Measure your wall and mark a level starting line. Dry-fit the material with its liner attached, checking the height, edge alignment and position of each recessed channel.
Measure twice. Keep the flute pattern consistent at every join.
My first line is not straight
Recheck your starting line with a level before pressing the full sheet. A straight first edge makes the following panels easier to align.
Step 3 Installation
Peel the white film
Peel back a short section of the plain white protective film. This exposes the smooth gray adhesive. Keep the remaining backing covered while you position the upper edge.
White film off. Smooth gray adhesive toward the wall.
The film is difficult to separate
Start gently at a corner. Lift the white film without scraping the gray adhesive or stretching the 3 mm material. Keep dirt and tools away from the exposed backing.
Step 4 Installation
Secure the upper edge
Line up the top with your guide and lightly secure the upper edge. Keep the cylindrical roll supported below, so its weight does not pull the material out of alignment.
Set the top first. Let the rest of the roll stay supported.
The upper edge has shifted
Stop unrolling and support the sheet. Ease the lightly attached area back only as far as needed, then realign. Avoid repeatedly pulling at a firmly bonded section.
Step 5 Installation
Apply & press
Unroll gradually, peeling the white film as you move down the wall. Press progressively across the 3D surface, following the raised ridges, recessed channels and edges.
Work in short sections instead of exposing all the adhesive at once.
I can see a bubble or lifted edge
Stop and inspect the area before continuing. Smooth toward an open edge while the material is still being placed. If an edge keeps lifting, check for dust, moisture, unevenness or tension.
Step 6 Installation
Cut & finish
Trim the material with a sharp utility knife and a straightedge. Use a protected cutting surface where possible, then check the perimeter and the alignment of the final seam.
Cut slowly and keep your free hand clear of the blade.
The cut edge looks uneven
Use a fresh, sharp blade and a stable straightedge. Make controlled cuts on a protected surface. Check the details guide before cutting around a corner, outlet or trim.
3 mm flexible materialRaised ridges. Recessed channels. A continuous, aligned finish.
Corners, outlets & seams
The details make the finish.
Choose a detail on the wall for a closer look at the cut, alignment and finishing sequence.
Bring two cut edges together.
Dry-fit each wall face separately. Trim the first piece to the inside corner, then align the next piece on the adjoining wall. Keep the raised ridges vertical and avoid overlapping material in the corner.
Dry-fit first. Align the channels before pressing the full surface.
Give the return its own clean edge.
Use two neatly cut pieces for a sharp outside corner. Dry-fit the front and side return, align the channels, then press both pieces into place for a clean meeting edge.
Dry-fit first. Align the channels before pressing the full surface.
Plan the opening before you cut.
Switch off the circuit at the breaker and verify that it is de-energized with a suitable tester before working near the outlet. Mark and cut the wall covering clear of the electrical box opening. Do not cover wiring or move the outlet; use a qualified electrician if needed.
Breaker off. Test before touching. A wall switch is not a substitute for isolating the circuit. Electrical safety guidance ↗
Frame the window, not the trim.
Measure each edge of the window opening and dry-fit the covering with its liner on. Make controlled cuts alongside the frame. Keep window tracks, hinges and seals clear, and align the channels above and below the opening.
Dry-fit first. Align the channels before pressing the full surface.
Finish neatly above the baseboard.
Use the top of the baseboard as a reference, checking whether it is level. Measure each section rather than assuming the floor is even. Trim the covering to meet the top of the existing trim without overlapping it.
Dry-fit first. Align the channels before pressing the full surface.
Keep the channel rhythm continuous.
Dry-fit the next piece beside the first. Match the spacing of the raised ridges and recessed channels, then bring the edges together without overlapping. Check the join from a few steps back before pressing along the seam.
Dry-fit first. Align the channels before pressing the full surface.
Remove. Reuse. Restyle.
Remove it. Take it with you.
Warm the top edge, peel downward and roll the sheet for its next wall.
A little warmth, kept moving. An ordinary hairdryer helps you work gradually along the upper edge.
The removal sequence
Release the edge.
Let the sheet follow.
- 01
Warm the upper edge.
Use an ordinary hairdryer on a gentle setting, moving it along the top. Keep it moving and avoid overheating the paint or the material.
- 02
Release the full top edge.
Ease the entire upper edge away before pulling farther. Support the sheet with your other hand so its weight does not pull against the wall.
- 03
Peel slowly downward.
Work down the wall gradually, supporting the sheet as it releases. Add gentle warmth as you go and keep the movement slow and steady.
Keep the sheet supported. Release the top edge across its full width, then guide the material downward with both hands.
Smooth gray backing faces up while the sheet is laid flat.
Handle it for the next space
Ready for
your next wall.
- 01
Lay it flat, gray side up.
Place the removed sheet on a clean, flat surface with the smooth gray adhesive facing upward. Keep dust, hair and debris away from the backing.
- 02
Make a loose cylindrical roll.
Roll gently for transport instead of making sharp folds. Cover the adhesive with the original release film and keep the roll loose.
- 03
Align and press into place.
Clean and dry the next wall. Unroll the sheet, remove the release film, align the channels and press firmly from the top down.
Store it with care. Keep the backing covered and the sheet flat or loosely rolled in a clean, dry space until you are ready to reinstall.
Keep: a supported edge, clean backing and a loose roll.
Avoid: sharp folds, excess heat and pulling against resistance.
